I teach beginners of all ages, as early as 5 years old.

My background and formal training are classical and I usually start the beginner off with a practice pad and two sticks. I recommend Buddy Rich's Modern Interpretation of Snare Drum Rudiments as a book to start out with. I incorporate other percussion instruments, as well.

I would be happy to meet with you and evaluate your (or your child's) skill level to suggest the best starting point for private lessons.

Sound Engineer:

I have experience working on sound for:
• Live performance
• Rehearsal studios and
• In-home recording studios.

Producer:

I have produced or co-produced several CD’s by other singer-songwriters.
And I am available to come in and work on your project as a consultant. Please contact me for a list of past projects in production and/or engineering.
